As of the 2024–2025 academic year, the TOGU Third Age University, established within Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, is proud to welcome its very first students. This institution is more than just a place of learning; it is a pioneering space of life that proves lifelong learning, social participation, and active aging are not only possible but vital.
Our university aims to support the cognitive, social, and health dimensions of our students through a rich and diverse curriculum. With new students and classes joining each year, this dynamic structure opens new doors for individuals whose desire to learn continues throughout life.
As part of our program, students will have full access to all academic and physical resources of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University. In addition to lectures delivered by our esteemed faculty members, participants will benefit from campus libraries, conference halls, sports facilities, and cultural activity spaces—ensuring a stimulating and enriching educational experience both mentally and socially.
Tokat is a city steeped in history, knowledge, and culture. Home to Yağbasan Madrasa—one of the earliest madrasas in Anatolia—as well as the Gök Madrasa and the Latifoğlu Mansion, Tokat bears witness to a deep-rooted tradition of education and the arts. Inspired by this rich cultural heritage, our university seeks to unite the wisdom of the past with the needs of the present, creating a hopeful and engaged community for the future.
